Leonid Cherkassky, MD, is a highly skilled surgical oncologist who treats patients with gastrointestinal diseases, specializing in liver, bile duct, gallbladder, pancreas, and colorectal cancer. Before coming to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, he completed research and clinical fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. In addition to his work with patients, Dr. Chekassky also has a dual appointment with the Center for Immunotherapy at Roswell Park, conducting laboratory and translational research to develop immunotherapies for the treatment of pancreas, liver, and bile duct cancers.
